Package of budget measures soundly defeated
California now faces 'staggering $21.3-billion deficit,' says Schwarzenegger
California voters exercise their power -- and that's the problem

That headline looks like a disaster to us.
It looks like another sweet opportunity to Obama.

The process leading to a national socialism is moving along quite rapidly.

When the banks failed, Obama took over.
When the auto manufacturers failed, Obama took over.
When the mortgage system failed, Obama took over.
When the insurance system failed, Obama took over.
When Obama takes over, he really takes over, projecting glassy eyed dictatorial powers with his nose in the air, as if to avoid the stench of the common folk.

If California leadership fails, guess who will be ready and willing to take over?

Obama's machine is working everyday to create or contrive more power vacuums. Because in the absence of an organized leadership or political mechanism to control or dissuade him, he gets to make his biggest moves.

The old domino theory that insinuated the world might become socialist scared us into making sacrifices for others. That was then.
Today, too many Americans are unwilling to sacrifice to save their own country.

It is show me the money time in America and Obama gets it better than anyone. This month he bought the loyalty, indeed the souls, of millions of Social Security recipients for $250 each. And he didn't even have the money. He simply used our paper and our ink and had the money printed.

That capability is raw runaway power.
Congressional and (in some cases) local political leadership's unwillingness to establish themselves as a significant part of the solution is raw weakness.

Power thrives on the weakness of others.
