Cheney's medical staff brought Whittington to a Kingsville, rather than a Corpus Chrisi hospital--the latter being more capable of dealing with the nature of Whittington's injuries. Interestingly, if you review the below map note the large blank space where no towns are listed just below the Kingsville area.
