I too have been watching LVLT and their steady climb. I have often watched with zeal as their vol. and share price zoom past QWST.

Does anyone have an insight as to why such a company could outshine QWST on the Big Board???

Jason, I certainly can't explain the fundamentals for this recent relative out-performance by LVLT. I suspect it is related to the secondary they did (28MM shares at $54). I'm sure all this got placed with major institutions -- perhaps the first time they've gotten involved with LVLT and "new broadband networks" for the internet. The investment bankers' job is to support the offering, hype the stock and provide after-market support (that's why LVLT's price was "held down" for a period and then has marched upward since the secondary). Also at least one of the supporting investment bankers initiated coverage with (you guessed it) an aggressive "buy" rating.

Some of that institutional interest and support of LVLT may have come at the expense of QWST. I've got investments in both companies -- with double the exposure to QWST than to LVLT because of QWST's lead. JMHO.
