This Dem talking point about being able to house dangerous prisoners safely (Pres. Obama, VP Biden, and Sen. Durbin all used it, so it's official) is a particularly infuriating straw man. We're not worried that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed will ESCAPE from Supermax. We are worried that some liberal judge will RELEASE him because he wasn't read his Miranda rights when they took him in Pakistan. Also, if you want to talk about recruitment opportunities for Al Qaeda, just scatter a couple hundred hardcore guys into our Supermax prisons and give them the copious rights to communication, lawyers, and lawsuits already enjoyed by our imprisoned gangbangers. A formal alliance between the Crips and Al Qaeda could come out of it, wouldn't that be a big recruitment help?
