I agree with you on when the pause first should have occurred. A year before any adjustments is a long time however. This is what i wrote on another thread addressing this. I know you think its too late. Hope you are wrong and even if you are right, increases need to stop if only to prevent the recession from being severe.

What really interests me here is that this decline was accellerated by the fact that bernanke keeps saying he is looking at data. Of course the data he is looking at is reporting about things past and not necessarily tell us too much about the future. Now it would be stupid to believe that bernanke doesnt know this.
Now back to the past with his Maria interview where he said the market understood him about the pause. He has foresworn any more interviews of this type that might affect markets so we wont hear from him but one has to believe that the market has it all wrong again and bernanke wont be leaking to the press. Now if i am right and the pause is coming, hopefully in June, the markets will begin to figure it out between now and then. The end june meeting takes on even more significance now because now the negative wealth affect of interest rates on the market now has an ailing stock market that will continue to get worse if rates appear to be going up forever. That will surely turn a slowdown into a recession and BB has to know this. If not Wahz, please give him a call.
