Yeah, sometimes I slip my cuffs and run amuck. Pandora is a great place for music, although mostly I forget to turn it on. Captain Beefheart is definitely not background music. It has a lot in common with free form jazz, which is even harder to listen to (not in the sense of 'that really gives me a headache', although sometimes that too). I like the extra flavors of blues and rock and his special sauce of Van Vliet nonsense. Anyway, ended up listening more last night, one thing leading to another, ending up with this favorite

However, bringing it up to date with someone I really think is special, I WOULD recommend listening to this guy, everything he does is outstanding. If I start on him, I get no work done all day.
