I'm a UNIX geek and do not own a copy of DOS/Win/Win95. The tools I use either pre-date java or implement it in a buggy, unsafe manner. For that reason I turn it off in the tools that claim to support it.

The newest UNIX web brousers are 2 1/2 times larger than than the old brousers with 1/2 the functionality. I've got the memory, but prefer small, well crafted tools. It must be the ex-software craftsman in me. With the exception of an old version of Netscape, I have the source code to *everything* I run on my machines (including the operating system) so can find and fix errors, patch security holes, etc.
