liberally biased MSM?

FWIW, that does not mean that the Clinton Admin also failed
to take appropriate action or that they themselves were also
guilty of excessive PC by not speaking out publicly &
frequently on the then growing & very serious threat posed by
al qaeda & other terrorist organizations.

And your view of Richard Clarke does not square with reality.
Try reading the 9/11 Commission report if you want the real
facts & real history.
