Re: morale booster.
We know that MSFT will have huge sales from Windows2k but the problem becomes when to buy the stock. If the sales are coming in around next summer, when is the optimal time to buy. Even the Goldman Sachs analyst, Rick Sherlund does not appear to be very enthusiastic about MSFT now. I prefer to buy some shares either tomorrow before the earnings if there is a decline or a few days afterwards.
A decline tomorrow sets up for a bit of a rally after earnings.

Does anyone expect the usual doom and gloom from Maffei this time. I don't.
