It is simply amazing that the US $ is a strong currency in use in most parts of the world albeit unofficially in many cases. I have often wondered what would happen if the US replaced their currency with a "NEW" issue. What would happen to the countless billions of $$$ that are circulating outside the US? Would it present itself to be exchanged for the "New" issue?? Or are these thoughts absurd??

It is interesting to contemplate why AU has not responded to the current set of world troubles, Asian meltdown and now war in the Balkans. Could it be that the world is putting its trust in the US buck?
