This is from the North American GOLD Mining Industry News. May 1986. Entitled " Metalors find on Brookbank fault contact has majors intrigued"
Just a few paragraphs....
" The geology is really a fault contact , with structurally controlled gold mineralization, and likely an ore zone"' says J Mason , goelogist for MNR, Thunderbay. Unlike the thin quarts- vien-type deposits that Noranda and other prospectors had been expecting since the 40's, the brookbank deposit is structurally controlled, with 30 to 35 foot widths of of potential ore material. More mportant than the widths or grades, is the fact that the structure itself is such a strong geological contact. " It not like your finding it out in the sediments or volcanics"' Chillian explains " Its right on the contacts. When you have it on the contacts, you have implications of strong continuity, both laterally and vertically. As long as you have contact, you are probably going to have ore. This a a big massive zone-Its over 90% silicified. We've got good walls on both sides.so it's going to be very cheap mining." Goes on to say that it has raised the eyebrows of more than 20 major companies that have visited the property. Sorry about spelling errors. |
