Always fresh fruit? Ever try frozen? I'm a bit spoiled about what is classified as fresh fruit...most that are shipped to the stores were picked to soon. A truly fresh blueberry does not have much of a shelf life.

The wife cooks them both ways depending on the season. Blueberries freeze really well if put up properly. You get more liquid in the pie with the frozen fruit, but you can lessen that with boiling it down before putting them in the crust.

She uses 3/4 cup of sugar and adds some lemon juice to tart it up just a tad to taste.
