So any criticism of the Pharisees, by another rabbi, is criticism of the Jews? The Old Testament Prophets, who were quite sharp tongued as well, were anti-semitic for chastising Israel? I think that's a stretch. Jesus was the Ralph Nader of his time. The role of the righteous outsider railing against the complacency and self-serving of the insiders is pretty well known as an archetype by now... Derek
