Facts??? I think not. 1. Allen will retain a LARGE position in Hayes and will have MUCH to say. Allen unsuccessful? That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. The man is richer than God. Billy Gates has stated unequivocally that there wouldn't BE a Microsoft without Allen. Do yer homework. Yer undies are showin' 2. I am no fan of Hayes , BUT they are the 2nd largest seller of consumer modems (behind USRX) Hayes the most expensive modem on the shelves. Nope, wrong again. Besides that I'd rather pay top dollar for the BEST (a sportster or courier) than "settle" for a CHEEPIE (boca) 3. ROK is RAPIDLY losing their lead in OEMs. USRX has 70% of the MUCH more important RAS market. 4. A "few lines in AOL"? That's ludicrous. Try AOL, Compuserve, Prodigy, US WEST, IBM....Need I continue? In the meantime ROK has lined up such luminaries and heavy hitters like "Frog.net and Mars.com". I bet AOL is shaking in their boots. Whooooo...... 5. ROK has 100 customers USRX has 400 customers. 6. I dare you to show me a BOCA modem available NOW that is Flash-upgradeable. Show me da logic... You're not "harsh", just a little ignorant of the "facts". Boca is a minor player. This industry is rapidly consolidating. Little fish like Boca and Zoom will quickly be swallowed up unless they can act quickly. Why else would a long-time USRX-hater like Hayes all of a sudden support x2? As I said before I would not be surprised to see Zoom or Boca either support BOTH technologys or get bought out. Don't bother answering unless you can show me some REAL facts instead of the ones you're making up off the top of your head.
