"Going after someone with a horrible disease who is infinitely more sympathetic than you is sucky in every way: politically (how do you benefit?), commercially (will you gain listeners?) and human-ly (ew).

We're not totally stupid. We know politics is a dirty game and, magically, continues to get dirtier. And, no one in the public eye is beyond criticism. But what you did wasn't criticism, it was a political ploy -- a ridiculously cynical one at that.
