It is definitely some sort of tightening at a control point. Currently, someone with outstanding warrants cannot fly (they will be arrested), or so I was told recently. Good for the bus and train business. Lots of small time gun running goes by greyhound already anyway. I try not to be paranoid, but isn't this how a typical police state tightens the screws? Are we really frogs in water being brought to a boil, slowly?

Edit: The flight thing is disturbing since it would take linking a national criminal data base with the airline reservation system. I don't know for a fact if this is even true since I was told this by someone with those types of problems, currently, and there could be a fair amount of unwarranted paranoia involved. Anybody else know anything about either?
