Another bit on JNA bid - ******************************** Subject: Reuters:(LU)-JNA <JNA.AX> says expects U.S. takeover bid JNA <JNA.AX> says expects U.S. takeover bid SYDNEY, July 20 (Reuters) - Telecommunications equipment maker JNA Telecommunications Ltd said on Monday it had requested a halt to trade in its shares because it expected to receive a takeover bid from a major North American group. Earlier on Monday The Australian Financial Review newspaper said Lucent Technologies Inc <LU.N> was expected to bid A$100 million or A$3.50 a share in cash for JNA. JNA's shares closed up three cents at A$2.48 on Friday, valuing the telecommunications equipment maker at A$73.66 million. REUTERS Copyright REUTER 21:18 07-19-98
