NYT Co. says it hasn't ruled out closing the Globe

In recent weeks, everyone has stopped talking about the possibility of the Times closing the Boston Globe, but NYT spokeswoman Catherine Mathis tells Adam Reilly that "closure is a very real path for the company to take." She adds: "The Guild seems to believe it can reject the contract, prevent implementation and thereby force further negotiation. That's not right. Time is of the essence."
