I see your point but they've sold a lot of chargers, challengers and mustangs the last few years and they come stock with more horsepower than a lot of our old street rods had after we modded them.
Yes, some of the electric ones scoot too but like Bob said, there's something about the smell, noise and vibration of a big block an EV just can't match.
We were going to go to the races last night but they were rained out.
For me, instead of gas smell, I love the smell of burning jet fuel.
