I dunno. Democrats being spendthrifts and Republicans being fiscal conservatives is nothing but a stereotype. To clutch it tighter in the face of recent history is stupid and blind partisanship. To take the stance that even though the Republicans have been spending like drunken sailors, the Democrats would have been even worse is a degree of delusion that borders on lockup material. That is just a fantasy, because you don't have anything to base it on. Well, nothing that bears any semblance to facts.
