Chris, ordination in some cases conveys nothing more than ordination, I'm afraid. Jimmy Swaggart was certainly ordained, and although he preached a mean sermon he disgraced the image of Christianity.

If anything, to me it is all the worse when an ordained minister uses Christianity as a platform for his own agenda. I felt that Emile was using Christianity as a platform for his own brand of rabid anti-semitism. Among his lunacies was that the murder of six million by the Nazis in the Holocaust was a fallacy dreamed up by Jews to make everyone feel sorry for them.

There is certainly good cause for discussion among Christians and Jews as to the nature of the Old and New Covenants. But there's a big difference between that and the sort of venom that Emile was known to spew.
