One thing about Falwell's homosexual views is strange -- the idea that a boy never was exposed to homosexuality naturally as a kid. Kinsey's first book seemed to suggest that about 40 per cent had one or more lifetime contracts. Some of these at least were youth on youth. Some critics were shocked and said it was too many, and my casual observations and experience suggested that it was too few. Without exception, although I had teachers kicked out for being homosexual, homosexuality I observed or participated in was exclusively other kids my age, and while one of them claimed to have been raped by a two-years older boy, I believe we pretty much thought it up ourselves. Kinsey thought nearly all males had masturbated, many in pairs and groups, but preachers who have counseled youths (but not R.C.) priests often thought it was so sinful that it was only a minority activity. I was always astounded that a child would voluntarily bring up the question or answer it truthfully if asked. I wonder why no one has ever asked these public figures about their own sexual experience and basis for making moral judgments abput sex.
