This next quarter could be a harbinger of what kind of markets Europe and Asia will prove to be in the next year or so --a watershed to use a cliche. You can see that as absolute percentages of Intel's revenue, Asia ex Japan was rapidly catching up to Europe --from a difference of 12% in Q296 to only 5% in Q297. My sense is that if this difference widens, AND Europe revenues are flat, then Asia will go into a year long funk, and ultimately Intel revenues could be significantly impacted. Especially if more governments adopt Malaysia's idiotic stance. <off topic> why not short the Malaysian ringgit? I bet Soros is doing just that at this moment!
