re: That's exactly IMO evidence of the opposite of having guts. By not taking their stance from back then all way to the voters when they are asked to cast their vote now on Nov 7 a year later, the dem party most likely dropped a golden opportunity to come out as the big winners.

They are taking their case to the voters, and in the polls most people think the Dems will shorten the war. If they said we are going to leave on 1/15/07 you and your Neo friends would be "cutting and running" the Dems to death. How many Dems have called for the Rummy resignation? How about Biden and Harold Ford saying we should partition Iraq? How about Claire McCaskill who wants to move U.S. troops out of Iraq to force the Iraqis to take control of their own country? How about Murtha calling for a redeployment?

There are a large number of Republicans saying we need a change... what are their alternate plans? Do you have even one alternate plan from a Rep?

Remember, even if the Dems do get the house, it's will still be the Republicans and Bushs war. They put us into this mess, then made it a catastrophe of historic proportions. The Dems are offering solutions to get us out. The Reps are running scared from the polls but unlike the Dems they are not offering solutions.

Bash the Dems all you want... you and yours created this mess.
