I just purchased a DELL server for a client of mine - A poweredge 2300. It has a PII 350Mhz CPU in it with a 3-4GB drives in a RAID 5 configuration. I've worked on it for about 6 hours now and I have to say that Compaq's Proliant 2500 with a Pentium Pro 200 CPU is by far faster or at worst equally as fast! The server will do well for the client but I feel better knowing the 7 2500's I purchased in the beginning of the year are still worth their weight.

I am a bit disappointed in DELL though.
