Dr. J, in response to a question, said Europe will have "lots of problems with having more than very slow data rates." QCOM's management seemed to appreciate that the key is getting the HDR solution out into the market - signing up SPs, application builders, etc. Once this capacity is out there and working, I believe the marketplace will provide the demand and the laggards (including Europe) will need to climb aboard the CDMA train.
