Yes, why DID they go along with Bush so often? They could read polls. Perhaps they were thinking of '92 to '94, when the Dems DID NOT go along with Clinton very much, and got swept out?

I don't think this is the case, but rather think that they are by their nature hierarchical authoritarians, and Bush had the most authority, so they went along.
