CB, We have talked about this before. Remember my irish buddies. Before Pope John 23, in the NY area at least, these folks claim thats what they were taught. I agree with you that this is not taught today. But perhaps we hit on an important point. I am not offended when someone says there were jews complicit in the death of jesus, or that there are corrupt jewish businessmen, or that there are jewish neocons or jewish communists and so on. These are all signs of great diversity and strength among the jewish community, not weakness. Yes we have our bad apples too. But once someone goes the to the next step and says The Jews are christ killers, commies, neo cons, corrupt businessmen, etc etc..you get the drift. I used to chuckle that the nazis used to attack the jews as evil capitalists and communists in the same breath. In truth in the US and in Europe all that The Jews, really want to do is live side by side with The Christians in peace. USA is certainly a better place with better possibilities for that than europe. And Israel at least provides Jews a place to go when the above hope goes awry. mike
