One of the side effects politically of Mel's movie is going to be the huge attempt to paint him with his Father's views. I see that his Father has been interviewed extensively lately and these tapes and transcripts are now being pushed hard by the media. When the Movie opens, they will start really pushing the line that the Christian Movie-goers are anti-semites. An underlying belief among Liberals is that anti-semitism is a Right Wing thing. This movie gives them a chance to push it. Their dislike of Israel has nothing to do with anti-semitism, of course.
