I must admit I've been pretty disappointed in this stock over the last few years! But, I've stuck with it.

The venture into NCs may be a good move if they can come up with software that 'sets the standard' and then sell it off as they did with SCSI products. I don't know what the hardware market is going to be like for them, software seems to be so much cleaner and allows for cheaper and easier (assuming you've got programmers with creativity and insight) product development.

Could the whole hardware thing be an attempt to get their hands dirty enough that they can come out with killer software which can also enhance other NC makers products?

I never know with this company. Granted the CEO seems a prima donna but remember this is the company that created Draw, SCSI drivers that set the standard, resurrected the body of Ventura and WordPerfect. I find it hard to believe that they are so bankrupt of ideas that the company will fail. I just put some shares into my RRSP!
