"NEWS RELEASE October 14, 1997

"Golden Thunder Resources Ltd. (the "Company") announces that a comprehensive exploration program for it's
Gold Gulch property in Cochise County, Arizona, is scheduled to start during the first week of November,1997.

"The program will consist of a series of trenches and pits on a grid pattern to a depth of 25 feet. The purpose of this program is to provide bulk samples to more accurately determine the average grade of gold values on the property. Previous surface sampling by the property owners and nearby operators have resulted in minimum average grades of 1.2 grams / ton (0.04 oz/ton) over wide areas.

The property is mineable using open pit, gravity-separation methods and preliminary estimates of production costs are approximately $100 per ounce, making the property attractive even at today's ($325/oz) gold price.
