TopTutors.com Forms a Strategic Alliance with Lightspan, Inc.
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- TopTutors.com announced it has formed a strategic alliance with Lightspan, Inc. that will provide the company access to millions of educators and parents around the country. The partnership gives TopTutors.com significant marketing exposure in Lightspan's online and offline marketing programs.
These Lightspan, Inc. marketing programs include online newsletters for educators and parents, "back-to-school" direct mail programs to educators, and inclusion in Lightspan's "Your Class Online" send-home packets for parents. TopTutors.com will also participate in Lightspan, Inc.'s Internet training workshops for teachers around the country, which provide teachers with a hands-on introduction to the Internet.
Using proprietary technology, TopTutors.com connects top credentialed teachers and students from around the country via the Internet for live individualized tutoring sessions.
With the TopTutors.com system, students and teachers talk through lessons using audio headsets. Proprietary TutorDesk software converts the student and tutor's computer monitors into virtual whiteboards.
