I think you could find a vast majority of those Americans who were drafted into National Service or as you call it "Slavery" and they would likely tell you it was the best experience of their life.

That's fine. If people want to do this, no problem. But don't force me at gunpoint to do this. This "National Service" is nothing more than slavery.

Maybe you needed someone to kick you out of bed every morning when you were 18, to yell at you, to haze you, and to "instill discipline" in you. I didn't.

I worked my tail off from the time I was 16 to help out my family. I disciplined myself to get up every morning and find my own way in the world. I was making decisions that decided the life and death status of others daily at age 26. I worked 120 hour weeks.

I didn't need to be someone's slave to get where I am today. I pity those that do. But just because slavery was good for you, don't make it mandatory for everyone else.

And you're not doing the Libertarian Party any favors by coming out in favor of slavery.
