That's right, Jim. The auger actually pulls up a nice 3" core (up the center), as well as the wrap around sample. The companies are very pleased with the way it has performed. To my knowledge, this is a fairly new technique in this type of exploration (I could be wrong), but due to its success, expect to see others using it. It's cheap, fast, effective, and doesn't require water!

Note that I reported that core was sent to Apex in Edmonton (& received).
