I am amazed of how little understanding there is on this board concerning the state of the industry, and what INPR is trying to do.

In turn, I might be "amazed of" your patronizing attitude, but I won't make a point of it.

True enterprise software must be sold directly to the end user.

Correct. However, the point under discussion was the planned acquisition of a service company.

It is much more complicated than selling shrink rap products.

Love the concept of "shrink rap" products. Used by psychiatrists, no doubt, to communicate with boyz in the 'hood.

A channel strategy will not work in this case.

Why not? It has been successfully employed by companies who have been in the enterprise business far longer than Inprise. SAP, for example, has done tolerably well out of their implementation of channel-driven service delivery.

And where did you get the idea that everybody who disagrees with you "hates INPR"?
