Abbott seeks dismissal of claim in cancer suit ABBOTT PARK, Ill., Aug 14 (Reuters) - Abbott Laboratories Inc. (NYSE:ABT - news) on Monday said it filed a motion to dismiss a counterclaim filed by Children's Medical Centre Corp. of Boston in which the hospital accused Abbott of stealing a formula for a promising cancer medicine. Abbott in May sued Boston's Children's Hospital, claiming the hospital and one of its top cancer researchers, Dr. Judah Folkman, falsely took credit for a medical development in treating malignant tumours. The hospital, in its July countersuit, accused Abbott of falsifying and manipulating evidence and committing fraud on the court. Abbott also said Monday it filed a separate motion in Boston's U.S. District Court to dismiss a counterclaim by biopharmaceutical company EntreMed Inc. (NasdaqNM:ENMD - news) of Rockville, Md. EntreMed is seeking to protect its rights to research at the Boston hospital. chris
