David G;

It is tempting for me to say that DELL and GTW should see a negative impact near term. I'm not yet convinced of it. Indicators seem to point that way .. However, my first ouch in options was puts on GTW (took me a while to realize that most of the bear comments were from one poster .. hi SB)

It is entirely possible to see something like transfer of market share, in that area, from CPQ to DELL, or CPQ to GTW or CPQ to DELL and GTW.

In addition the glut of PII chips and the corresponding sharp price reductions may be entirely due to Intel overproduction .. but I don't think so. And in addition to that my old suppliers are spot market. Therefor slowdown in demand for the PII may just be in the spot market area .. but I don't think so.

For what it's worth ..

Gersh
