Thomas answered that question very well, Bruce. I just want to add that the the act was committed when Roman legions surrounded Jerusalem just prior to the event. Are you aware that the commander that had attacked Jerusalem was called back to Rome where he was installed as Nero? His son went back to finish the job I believe. It is late and I have put ny books away but if you want to fill in the blanks, you may. This period in history has been neglected by the Church for obvious reasons. There is many history changing events. I forget the number reported killed and taken into captivity but you may know that also. James
