The inherent flexibility of interpretation of the Constitution allows it to be kept for years, and centurys. If the attitude of Federalist Society judges like Scalia, who promotes the idea that the document and it's nuances were fixed in concrete 200 years ago, becomes prevelent, then the Constitution will be violated, not just reinterpreted, when America reaches some future inflection point. It is the reinterpretation that gives the country and it's leaders flexibility and yet allows them to adhere to the principal of working within the framework of this contract. Constitutional fanatics are more of a danger to the contract than anarchists who would seek to ignore it.
