“Winston Churchill aroused this nation in heroic fashion to save civilization in World War II," said Gore, at the Oxford at the Smith School World Forum on Enterprise and the Environment. He was speaking about the need for increased political activism on the climate change issue, and complaining that we haven't been working ourselves into enough of a fervor. “The level of awareness and concern among populations has not crossed the threshold where political leaders feel that they must change," he said.
