The tabloids have higher journalistic standards than most of the rightwing "news sites, for instance the RNC itself, Drudge, Hannity, Newsmax, CNS, Worldnetdaily, Coulter, Limbaugh, Ny Sun, Smearvets For Truth, etc. All much less credible than the tabloids who actually fear libel suits if they get something wrong. Rightwingers invite libel suits. Mellon-Scaife will handle the legal bills.
Basically, any site that claimed the smearvets claims were true, that (after 2003) claimed Saddam had Al Qaida contacts and WMD, that Abramoff gave money to democrats or that Bush's illegal domestic spying is lawful, is totally full of it, and intentionally lie. They all know they're putting out blatant lies and disinformation, and they're proud of it. |
