NED, not your kindly old uncle......

I'm starting to put together a dossier/bibliography on the National Endowment for Democracy. It has recently come to my attention that this Reagan era creation is involved in some serious hanky-panky and is yet another Orwellian doublethink misnomer. Apparently, NED is a quasi-governmental foundation whose role in life is to support political candidates internationally who toe the line for American corporate interests.

If folks have any articles in their bookmarks to share on this shadowy group, I'd love to have you pass them along so I can build a fairly complete file on what appears to be a less-than-honorable covert operator.
