I used the nazi Germany example because you did. I know Germany had laws against crime.

You where saying what Hitler did wrong was make himself the "conscience for the nation". My response was "what if he didn't but killed anyway". Would it be wrong for the nation to make itself his conscience and stop him?

You where stressing the problem with outlawing abortion is that it makes the government the conscience for the individual. My point is that you are apparently willing to have this happen to outlaw someone murdering you, or presumably me, but not an unborn child. The important issues is not someone being the "conscience for the nation".
But does a fetus have human rights that deserve protection.
If you assume it does then nazi death camps and abortion clinics are very simular. If you assume that the fetus has no such rights and deserves no such protection, then there is no reason to outlaw it. This is the central question and the conscience of the nation" idea is rather irrelevant. If
an unborn child has human rights then the government should properly try to protect them even if that means acting as "the conscience of the nation". I am fairly certain that your position is that it does not. If that position is assumed to be fact then the pro-choice cause is correct. If
on the other hand you believed the opposite assumption was true would you not oppose abortion (and impose your "conscience")?
