I've been doing a couple channel checks around the Boston area. My local CompUSA has only received 8 Jaz drives for the entire year and they were all internals. Computer City had a few internals, but no externals. I asked a sales clerk and he said that they were promised for delivery by mid-June. I hope Iomega comes thru.

A few good notes... Almost every computer retailer is advertizing Iomega products. Everything from a full page in fliers to a 1/4 of a 1/4 page ad in the Boston Globe. The retailers know what the public wants!

Saw my first HP7110Z(zip) and it was on sale for $1999. What a great computer! I long for one :) One thing that disturbs me is that most of the sales people only seem to think of the zip as a back-up device. It is certainly useful for that, but shouldn't be a main selling point. Oh well.

Any guesses as to how many zips the OEM's are ordering from Iomega? With so many jumping on board so fast, it seems like the number could be too high for Iomega to fill. I hope not.

Lastly, this is my first real post on this thread. I have learned much here, quietly taking in everyone's thoughts over the past 6 months. I have been in the Iomega train since mid-December and have loved the ride. I am still confident of Iomega's looming success. I try not to let myself get caught up in the day to day and look to the future. I must say the future looks bright!

Keep up the good posts (good and bad)

Chris S.
