Running negative attack ads is not "pointing out the principles of a candidate." Instead, they border on libel or slander.

Look at the result. Riordan lost, and the worst governor in the history of California got elected. Fortunately, the dirty tactics backfired, and Davis lowered the barrier for his own recall thanks to low voter turnout.

The two "front-runners" for the 2008 GOP primaries are McCain and Giuliani, and both are being painted as "moderates." Who's the oh-so-dangerous ultra-conservative that you fear, other than lame ducks?
