I buy Paramount movies, I don't care if their website works..
I understand your concerns about deadlines and quality. In fact I had a serious concern about the quality of their recent game release, Elmo's Letter Adventure. However, after ruminating over it for the last few days, I have come to the conclusion that NewKidCo, as a company, has done more things right than wrong. The licenses that they hold, and the ones that they will acquire with the clout that The Learning Company will afford them, are worth more to their value than winning an award for their first few games, or having a great website. They sell entertainment now. Will a "bad" movie with a big name star and a major distributor make more money than a "great" low budget one with no major distributor? Of course it will. As far as children's "edutainment" games for PlayStation and GameBoy are concerned, NewKidCo is the only "game" in town right now… The Sesame Street characters are the stars, The Learning Company is the distributor, and that equates to profitability… soon. We'll take care of the "feel-good" part of the company later.
