SKF backing off on interday. LEH recovering a bit.
Some people said that Merrill Lynch MER and/or Citigroup C are more vulnerable than Lehman. Citigroup may be too big to be allowed to fail.

I sold my FXP China double short today. Even though I sold SKF Friday, and it had a big move today, I am happy to be out of all my double shorts now.

The FED has just set up new rules where real banks and i-banks can borrow for 90 days (up from 28) on any kind of collateral.

Since the i-banks finance the hedge funds, should be plenty of money to buy metals and miners.

I bought some SWC today. SWC Stillwater Mining, a US Platinum producer.

With US interest rates and the USD dropping, I betting hard assets are the place to be.
