I dont understand.

Clinics provide health care now free or at low cost. What's not to understand? And why not the Salvation Army providing a cut rate drug store for the hard up?

Charity tends to diminish when government steps in. If government steps out, charity will step in, maybe not for plush service, but for service.

And don't forget, competition drives prices down so service would be more affordable for more people. With a free market model, you get lower costs and the people paying the tab for the hard up would be doing so voluntarily--lotsa folks checking off these charities on their United Way form. Plue'd have a more rational and accurate cost basis, which would enable planning, estimating, new business innovation.

If thats it, try again--will never work.

Methinks you write it off too quickly.
