Affirmative. But with my 28K modem connection, I suspect my surfing of the beta will redefine the limits of slow.

I doubt it. Clearly, I would expect the bottleneck of your connection to remain on your dial-up to the internet, not SI's server, beta or otherwise. Now, if my Q does well and we can all afford DSL, it might be a different story.....
