Another installment of "AS THE SKY TURNS" News Corp names Echostar in counterclaim NEW YORK, June 9 (Reuter) - News Corp Ltd said on Monday that it filed counterclaims against EchoStar Communications Corp (DISH) over a failed $1 billion merger proposal which would have offered up to 500 channels of digital TV, internet services and local broadcast TV signals to U.S. markets. News Corp said it denied all the material allegations in EchoStar's complaint, such as breach of contract and accused EchoStar of bad faith, misconduct and failure to disclose material information. EchoStar was not immediately available for comment to respond to News Corp's allegations.
